Тиждень англійської мови

An English language week was held in our lyceum February 10 to 14. The theme to stick to during the week was “Holidays and traditions in the United Kingdom and the USA as viewed from the language context. Valentine’s Day traditions”
A lot of different activities have been held within the framework of this week.
Students have been introduced to all the most celebrated holidays in the UK and the USA, have learnt about their origin and have been made familiar with their traditions and customs.
A large number of activities dedicated to the St. Valentine’s Day have also been conducted. Among them there was a “Love is in the air” stage performance and a number of in-class and after-class activities like “valentines’” making, «hearts» exchanging, making and exhibiting drawings and posters on the topic “Love is …”, quizzes, creating posters, entitled “Love in the belligerent Ukraine is…” and a lot more.

З 10 по 14 лютого у нашому ліцеї проходив тиждень англійської мови на тему «Святкові традиції у Сполученому Королівстві та Сполучених Штатах розглянуті у мовленнєвому контексті. Святкування Дня Святого Валентина».
В рамках тижня були проведені різноманітні заходи. Учні мали змогу ознайомилися із найпопулярнішими святами Сполученого Королівства та США, їхніми традиціями та походженням.
Також були проведені заходи присвячені святкуванню Дня Святого Валентина. Серед них концерт “Love is in the air” і такі заходи як виготовлення «валентинок», обмін виготовленими «серцями», створення та виставки малюнків та плакатів на тему «Кохання це», вікторини та створення плакатів на тему «Любов у повоєнній Україні – це …».
